You might say that Steve Anderson, our baker, has flour in his blood. He worked at his family's bakery specializing in personalized cakes and cupcakes in Pascagoula, Mississippi for 12 years before moving to the Gatlinburg area in 1988.
Marcelle (Steve's wife) and Steve operated "The Ginger Jar" a cake shop in Sevierville until 1993 when they decided to switch to wholesale cake services only. Then in 2007 their daughter moved back from Long Island, New York where she had been living and they decided to do retail cake and cupcake services again!
Steve and Marcelle have six children (although there seems to be more than six), and seven grandkids. Their home is always a busy and happy place; no wonder Steve never wants to leave!
